I was recently prescribed Effexor but I can afford it?

Who do u go to if u cant afford the medicine that was presribed to you?


I dont qualify for medicare or medicaid

do you have insurance?
If not, don't take the medicine - you're not supposed to stop taking it suddenly, so it could make you sick if you start taking it, then find out you can't afford it after a month or two.
Ask your doctor about something different. I was prescribed effexor but chose not to take it just because of the side effects people experience.

ask you dr. or pharmasist if there is a generic brand. or ask your dr. if there is something else that would work like the effexor, but cheaper. explain to your dr. that it is to expensive, im sure he will be happy to help you. or maby give you samples.

first off talk to the pharmacist about possible generics... also in illinois walmart has been offering a 30 supply of medication (specific generics) for $4.00 you could check with your walmart if they are doing that ... also talk to the dr about possible sample supplies or a different medication..
