If a woman if 45 and has a tiny amount of bleeding between periods what does this mean ?

Answer:
its probably a hormonal imbalance..this is common at ur age when hormone levels are rising and dropping..if the bleeding becomes very heavy or ur passing clots u should see a doctor
she's gonna lose her period, i think..u know--menoposal

i don't know how to spell that word, sorry!
The most obvious answer is that you're beginning the menopause, but I would get yourself checked by your doctor because it could be something else (eg, cervical cancer - very unlikely, but you should get it ruled out)
Well, at this age one may assume that the menopause is under way. There are certain signs such a bleeding stopping and bleeding becoming irregular.
I would go see a women's health professional to find our where I am in that connection since there are other changes that are easier if I know for sure.
it is the start of her change of life.
it could be pre menopause or it could be breakthrough bleeding that is being caused by some othe reason but i would bet it is pre menopause though it is best to see a dr about it to be sure-and if it is pre menopause good luck with it and if you get hot flashes bad try a all natural product for them because i had them sooooooo bad i didnt think i could handle it any longer i tried the all natural supplementd have only had a few it many mths.
Do you have a coil fitted?
This tends to happen if thats the case - even if you previously have not experienced this before it is very common.

If not deff go to the doctors, it's probably just the meapouse as suggested by others but it will just play on your mind if you don't get this confirmed
You are most likely perimenopausal. The average age of onset is 45.

Contrary to what everyone is posting here, you don't just "get" menopause like some disease. There are stages. This one may last several years.

What this means and how it's going to affect your life is something you need to discuss with your doctor. It can be your family doctor or the one who does your Pap smears every year, but you need to talk with them about what it means.

I had this talk recently with my family doctor and he was able to answer every question I had. My time hasn't come yet, but it was a very informative discussion.
it means that you are at the stage of menopause, you are likely to cut-it of.most of women experince this state while at that age.but if you're stil healthy enough I would recommend that you to your doctor, coz you stil have 5-8yrs to go before reaching the climax(menopause)
my mum experienced this before she started going through the menopause
she has a period every 5 months now
Could possibly mean infection but the only way to know for sure is to have her get in touch with her dr to have them further evaluate the situation.
menopause.
